Feel Like My Time Ain’t Long CD Bluegrass Accappella

For all those who like good 4-part gospel singing, this is some of the best you’ll ever hear. There’s a surprising amount of variety here even though the 15 tracks are all unaccompanied. One after the other, the performances are all stunning, from Ralph Stanley’s Gloryland and the Marshall Family’s Children Go Where I Send Thee to the poignant and powerful renditions of Some Day (Blue Highway) & the Country Gentlemen’s Calling My Children Home. Larry Sparks’ Gospel Train and the IIIRD Tyme Out’s When I Cross Over Jordan are other classics, and “sleepers” like I Can’t Sit Down (Steep Canyon Rangers), the Forbes Family’s Jesus Ill Never Forget and Appalachian Express’ I’ll Meet You In The Morning contribute strongly to a superb album. Even if you already have many or most of these songs, to hear them together reminds one of the amazing and inspiring beauty of Bluegrass gospel singing at its best
